Case Management Detail

The Case Detail view is the central hub for managing an investigation. It provides a comprehensive set of tools to track every aspect of a case, from evidence and parties to legal instruments and prosecution.

Accessing Case Detail

To open a case: 1. Navigate to the Cases list from the sidebar. 2. Click on any case row or the case number to open the detailed view.

Interface Overview

The Case Detail view is divided into several sections, navigable via tabs or the sidebar menu:

Core Management

  • Case Overview: High-level summary, risk flags, quick stats, and metadata.
  • Parties & Individuals: Manage suspects, victims, witnesses, and complainants.
  • Team Assignments: Assign investigators and manage access rights.
  • Tasks: Track investigative to-dos and deadlines.
  • Action Log: Audit trail of all case activities (automatic and manual).
  • Case Timeline: Visual chronology of key case events.

Evidence & Forensics

  • Evidence Management: Detailed tracking of digital and physical evidence (Chain of Custody).
  • Seizures: Record physical raid and seizure operations.
  • Forensic Analysis: Manage artefacts and forensic reports.
  • Legal Instruments: Manage warrants, court orders, and preservation requests.
  • Prosecution: Track charges, court sessions, and case outcomes.
  • International Cooperation: Manage MLATs and cross-border requests.

Collaboration

  • Attachments: General file storage for the case.
  • Collaboration: Shared notes and team communication.

Key Sections Breakdown

1. Case Overview

Provides a dashboard-style summary: - Case Description: Full narrative of the case. - Investigation Details: Type, date reported, lead investigator, and scope. - Intake & Reporter: Source of the case and reporter contact info. - Risk Flags: Critical indicators like "Child Safety," "Imminent Harm," or "Trafficking." - Stats: Quick counts of evidence, days open, and team members.

2. Evidence Management

3. Seizures
